1. Analyze the client's objectives and spatial requirements. Evaluate the constraints and resources of the project, as well as the client’s budget, living and safety requirements.

2. Provide a conceptual design for the client. Discuss the proposal and describe the quality, style image, and functional value of the project. Have the client approve the preliminary outline and design concepts.
